MUDDLE Club Studio Access – Early Access

Casual studio access for MUDDLE legends who have done at least a term of MUDDLE Club Classes (see seperate listing).

NOTE: when you book Studio Access you do NOT need to come at a particular class time, you can come whenever you like. As such you are not part of class meals etc.

Studio access during our term opening hours to come along & continue muddling.

NOTE: when you book Studio Access you do NOT need to come at a particular class time, you can come whenever you like. As such you are not part of class meals etc.

  • Term opening hours are 10am – 9pm, Monday – Thursday
  • Available as a whole-term block only (8-weeks), and only for the term you are booking for (i.e. can’t split the 8 weeks over multiple terms)
  • No tuition is available, & you must be at least at an intermediate skill level and be able to work unsupervised (a MUDDLE team member will always be on the premises, but are not available to provide in-depth assistance)
  • Firing fees are extra, & will depend on how much work you produce. We charge either by kilo ($12 per kg), weighed at the end of the firing cycle; or by kiln load (in the small kilns: K1 & K2). Which option is best for you will be determined on a case-by-case basis, we will chat about firings with you as we go
  • Clay is also not included (although we’re happy for you to use some practice clay)
  • MUDDLE Club Classes students get priority on equipment and tools over Studio Access Muddlers during class time
  • No studio access during term break

Covid Safety Plan
Our 2024 COVID Safety Plan is in accordance with the current Tasmanian Government COVID-19 Guidelines.

This may change, and we will always err on the side of caution to keep our most vulnerable community members safe.
Cancellation Policy
If date of cancellation is prior to term commencing we will refunded you 90% of the term fee.

If date of cancellation is after term has started there is no refund given for the remaining weeks in the term. No refunds or credits are given for missed weeks.

If the studio access is cancelled by MUDDLE Ceramics Workshop then you will be refunded in full for the number of weeks owing.

No, unfortunately if it says that it is sold out on the website, it is indeed sold out and we can’t fit any more people in, we’re sorry.

We get asked a lot if we offer a firing service, and unfortunately, we don’t. The only place we know of in Hobart that has a kiln hire/firing service is Derwent Ceramics in Moonah.

Our wheels are all in use for our classes, so we’re sorry but we are unable to offer any of our pottery wheels for hire. The same goes for all of our other equipment and tools.
