The workshop will cover topics such as glaze consistency, sieving, testing approaches, setting out a design, resist techniques, kiln-saving tips such as cookies and catchers, and application methods such as dipping, pouring, brushing, slip trailing, stamping, sponging and spraying.

The glazed works and tests will all be fired, and then the group gets together again a week later to discuss the results and ask more questions.

Students will have access to our large range of studio glazes, and are encouraged to bring their own if they would like. Students are also encouraged to bring some of their own bisqued STONEWARE work to glaze. Some tiles for testing are included, and we will have a range of bisqued items available for an extra cost for students to use.

Students are required to bring their own safety gear, such as respirators/P2 face masks and enclosed shoes.
